Football—Social Science Style (Mike Larson)

I prepared a list of questions to ask the students (fellow Methods Class participants), the questions ranged from easy to hard.  The teams each had a captain who was in charge of answering the questions after conferring with their team members.   To begin the game I started with a random question a which ever team answered the question right first was on offense first.  This team got the ball on the 20 yard line and had the opportunity to go for 10, 20 or 50 yards, with the difficulty of question corresponding with the amount of yardage.  I only allowed for two downs (missed questions) as four seemed to be to many.  The defensive could gain control by either correctly answering a question missed by the offensive team, or by taking over on downs.  The game went very well but I suspect with a large class it would be more difficult.
