The learning game that I demonstrated to our class last Tuesday (10/19/99) was “Hollywood Squares”.  I demonstrated the game as use for a test review.

The game follows the game-show set-up.  “Hollywood Squares” is a game of tic-tac-toe where each square is filled with an “X” or an “O” by giving the correct answer to a question.  All nine squares of the gameboard are represented by students (the celeberties).  Two students are the contestants and are responsible for either “agreeing” or “disagreeing” with the answers given by the celeberties.  The students in the audience can give thier opinion of agree or disagree while the contestant processes the question.
Basically, the game is tic-tac-toe with each student having the ability to participate.  I think that “Hollywood Squares” is a very fun and educational game for the classroom.  I think that this is a game that I will be able to use in my classroom.
